I grow up, I travel, I experience, I learn, and I observe... and as a result I could empathise more than I did when I was living in my own little world as a child.
And as time passes I realise that I find it hard to accept people who talk to others in a condescending way. I don't even know if anyone
has to do so. And I don't think anyone
deserves to be talked to in such way.
Based on my experience and my learning, people normally end up having lower self-confidence and even becoming more demotivated after they are talked down to.
You don't lift up someone's spirit by telling them that they are wrong/ stupid.
Seriously, what will you get by belittling others? Pride? Satisfaction?
Nabi dah kata takkan masuk syurga kalau ada perasaan riak dalam hati, walaupun sebesar zarah.
Dan nak tahu tak Nabi cakap riak tu apa?
Yes.
Pride comes from dissatisfaction with the truth and belittling people.
Kalau dah mentaliti Melayu memang selamanya mentaliti Melayu la kan?
I don't care about your power distance ke, cultural values ke, apa ke. For me,
nobody deserves to be talked to like that. Yes, we appreciate your help tapi tak perlu la nak mengungkit sampai tahap menyakitkan hati orang lain.
Oh... and talking about your office politics to some innocent group of people is not professional at all.
TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE READING THIS,
Please please
